Bodies The Exhibition

What are your impressions about using human cadaevers for educational purposes?

Todd,
Why is there a problem with this? The cadaver is being used to continue our understanding and knowledge of the incredible machine that God has created. Our pursuit of scientific discovery is covered under having dominion over it right?

Did I say there was a problem with it? I don't recall saying that? I only asked for impressions.

Would your opinion change if your 14 year old son/daughter was invited to go to the exhibition?

I guess I would evaluate that on the basis of whether my son/daughter a) had a strong stomach, b) had a desire to go into the medical field, c) had the money to pay for such an extracurricluar field trip, d)had anything to do with the creation of the cadaever.

I don't know what makes you come up with these things. Life is often stranger than fiction however.

I actually went and saw a display very similar to this (http://www.bodyworlds.com/en.html) while I was in Denver. I have a DVD and full color book about the exhibit if you would like to borrow/ review before you decide if this is something your daughter should visit. I'm not sure how the bodyworlds exhibit would compare to this one, though.

I found it very educational. It served as a visual reminder of the awesomeness of our creator. I had hope Crystal could visit while it was in Boston. Maybe she'll be able to visit one of these more permanent displays in New York or DC this summer.
